Dave Hare ‒ Advisory Partner
For much of his career, Dave has been involved in designing and leading service delivery organizations that drive profitable operations and customer satisfaction. He has a proven track record in guiding the successful integration of support operations, business processes, technology, and organizational redesign in mergers and acquisitions. Most recently at Symantec, David directed 2,500+ employees providing global support for all Symantec products and business critical services, a nearly $100M business. A believer in standards and certification, Dave sponsored service delivery excellence initiatives that have achieved worldwide recognition.
Prior to Symantec, Dave led global support for all Oracle products. At PeopleSoft, Dave achieved support center practices (SCP) certification and was instrumental in the worldwide global customer care and product support advisor organizations achieving ISO certification.
Dave is a member of the J.D. Power & Associates standards board for certified technology service and support. He also serves on the board of noHold, a leading web-based knowledge management technology company; Alliance of Technology and Women (ATW); and the Silicon Valley chapter of the Association for Services Management International (AFSMI). In addition, he is on the board of advisors of Datanautics, a leading provider of analytic solutions.
Dan Wiersma ‒ Advisory Partner
Dan Wiersma has more than 30 years of experience and expertise in manufacturing and service operations. Before joining ServTrans in 2009, he was senior vice president, Sony service platform at Sony Electronics and was known for his expertise in driving customer growth and loyalty through operational and service excellence. Under his leadership, Sony’s consumer service platform registered unparalleled growth in customer loyalty and satisfaction as measured by Net Promoter Scores (NPS). Dan led the service group to new levels of efficiency and profitability as it simultaneously became the highest employee-rated organization in Sony Electronics.
Dan also served as vice president of health imaging and general manager of electronic products at Kodak, where he led the effort to locate Kodak’s first wholly owned manufacturing operation in the People’s Republic of China in 1995. Dan also helped to drive Kodak’s push in Six Sigma and achieved ISO 9000 certification for the entire electronic products organization.
Dan holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo and a M.S. in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been an active member of several industry organizations including the Center for Services Leadership at Arizona State University, Association for Services Management International (AFSMI), SSPA (now TSIA), and Omega Management Group’s View From the Top. He is a regular presenter and participant in the discussion of management topics in the service industry.
